| MULTI SERIES : MASTERING YOUR PATTERN |
The 200 Series is the original skirt line. The front/back Vs are the deepest of the skirt inset lines. This line is the ultimate as far as keeping the body proportions in balance. The skirt for the 200 series is a triple circle (C-3) construction and is the fullest at the hem line. There is an up-cut the the hemline at the side front to give a longer look to the leg. If you leave the front panel off this skirt it is has the great cut-away skirt look. Each 200 series pattern... also, there is a line to cut the top skirt and to cut the drop skirt. |
The Tulip skirt is the first panel skirt. The side seam can be left open at any point along the seam. The Mini-Pro pattern has the kick pleat panel Tulip skirt...the panel allows the seam to be open but gives full coverage on the panty line. |
CONVERSION: It’s easy to change one series bodice to another. At the side seam, the inset line is the same series to series. The only thing that changes is the shape and slope of the cut line across the bodice to the mid-point.

The 400 Series, the newest skirt, is the second panel skirt, a variation of the Tulip, the "A-line Skirt". This skirt is inset to the bodice with a rounded line that gently drops a bit as the line comes to the mid-point of the bodice...a very pleasing look. It is the closest to a straight cut across the body. The side seam is dropped more than the 500 Tulip skirt. It, too,can be left open at any point on the seam. |

Stack the bodices, aligning the side seams, as well as the bottom point of the side seam...redraw the info that you need from each bodice. Use the appropriate skirt and panty for the new pattern.

This gives a flatter hemline...the skirt has a boxier look. The back can be cut flat or dropped at the hem mid point. |
The 1000 Series is the most shallow V of the circle skirt patterns. The skirt is based on the triple circle (C-3) but it has a flatter hemline and it is dropped in the back at the mid point. The flatter hemline looks the best with the shallow drop of the bodice Vs. This skirt makes a great dance skirt...it can be lengthened and trimmed to any desired length and it looks great. |
and back are very shallow to accommodate the toddler figure. The skirt that looks the best for the littlest |
The 500 Series was developed after the 200 series and the V of the bodice it is not as deeply cut as the 200 bodice. Tulip Skirt and the single circle (C-1) skirt are included in this series. The (C-1) is great for velvet...it has a little more flare at the hemline, a great style. The (C-1) skirt can be easily lengthened, tatterted, draped or the back half can be used with the front half of the Tulip panel skirt. Aweesome look...a lot of style possibilities! |
